Mid Sweden 365

The longest indoor ski tunnels in the world

In recent years, commitment to former home municipality Bräcke has resulted in Karin stepping in as chairperson of the company Mid Sweden 365. Being a military hidden place for many years, Bräcke municipality rebuilt the mountain into one of the world's foremost and longest indoor ski tunnels. With a constant four degrees below zero, you can ski here when it's summer, rain, and no snow outside. But the challenges are many, and the operating costs are high, and it is with a definite will to reverse and correct the development that Karin 2020 entered the role of chairperson. Two years later, marked by a pandemic, the area has developed at high speed, and permission for building new houses in the area was soon finalised. Both smart collaborations, visitor records, and a strong team on site together with new travel reasons sum up these first two years, but it is still a long way to go before Karin has reached her and the board's set goals.
